As someone who is a fellow affiliate marketer and indeed in the natural health niche I actually do not recommend it all, in fact I am leaving that niche all together due to awkward FDA regulations and what language they do and do not permit and googles latest update targeting and kinda categorizing natural and alternative health sites in the same way as they did with fake news sites.
It is a serious bummer, although my traffic is still up compared to this time last year my income has significantly dropped.
In fact traffic has been stagnant since January despite 30% more articles being added to the site (a 1/3 (almost) increase in gross content).

Wow…I’ve used herbs and homeopathic remedies since I was 18 years old. I’ve very rarely used medications because of the potential side effects. When I had a case of pneumonia some time ago, of course I used antibiotics, because that could’ve been a life threatening situation. But in my everyday activities, I use natural remedies.
What you say about the FDA is absolutely true, especially regarding natural and alternative health. For decades the FDA has been trying to “regulate” homeopathic and natural remedies but have been unsuccessful. So when they constantly change the rules of the game, we’ll it makes it that much harder to stay in the game.
I will tell you from my experience that you have to be extremely careful with your wording when it comes to the natural health niche. The FDA is a government buracracy that’s been trying to regulate the natural health niche and they’re pissed because the naturalists and homeopaths keep fighting it and keep winning, so what they do is try to make it so difficult to prosper in this niche that good people like you will just give up.
I hope you can find a way to stay in that niche instead of having to abandon it altogether. If not, then you will find another niche you can prosper in.

I’ve been trying to learn the ropes of affiliate marketing for months after discovering the opportunities of the Amazon Associate Program. There are a lot of courses here and there and I do more or less understand the basics now.

That’s huge because many people take online courses and pull information off Google and YouTube to get free information on how to build a online business. That consumes a HUGE amount of very valuable time and mental energy!
It’s been my experience that what it really comes down to is money. Some people don’t want to spend the money necessary to build an online presence. WA membership is $19 the first month and $49 if you pay monthly. Other than than, there’s very little monies you have to spend to build your business. You have to buy your domain names, which is inexpensive. I know for myself, there are a few other perks in WA I like to take advantage of, but it’s not mandatory.
Even better, you can try WA for FREE for 7-days – no credit card required – to see if the platform is a good fit for you. You won’t spend one red cent during the FREE trial. It’s certainly better that searching the internet on you own and piecing together resources to make it all work.

I always say that there are 2 ways to make money; you either work for somebody else to make their dreams a reality, or you work for yourself and make your dreams a reality.
Working for somebody else will NEVER result in making your dreams a reality, unless it is your dream job and the pay is great. But another thing to consider, is will this job provide me with enough freedom so that I can enjoy my family and the money I make?
