Is Internet Marketing Dead Or Do You Need A New Approach?
The question I wanted to pose in this post is an interesting one: Is Internet Marketing Dead Or Do You Need A New Approach? Can you still make money with internet marketing?
Over the last 20 years particularly, online marketers of all levels have been asking the question Is Internet Marketing Dead?
I
There are many distinct variations to do internet marketing and make money online, particularly with affiliate marketing and the platform that I recommend.
Since it’s become increasingly difficult to make money online, many are asking Is Internet Marketing Dead?
Why People Ask Is Internet Marketing Dead?
You’d actually be amazed at the number of times people have asked me “Is Internet Marketing Dead?
Also, there are others who feel: “online marketing is dying”; “website marketing has become saturated”.
Also, others say: “internet marketing is too hard” and “internet marketing no longer works”.
The excuses keep going on and on and on.
Why is it that people buy into this point of view? Why is it that people ask Is Internet Marketing D
Personally, I believe that people say this when they are frustrated and struggling to make something work online.

Is Internet Marketing Dead Or Do You Need A New Approach?
Please keep something in mind: if an affiliate offer you’re promoting isn’t working for you, then the problem is not your affiliate offer – it’s YOU, the affiliate.
Whenever I’m struggling, when I’m down on myself, I remind myself of the above fact.
When people ask me Is Internet Marketing Dead, I remind myself that this stuff does work and is effective.
If I’m struggling, then I simply need to figure out an alternative way to make it work.
At the end of the day, online marketing is far from dead.
If you’re at the point where you are feeling this way, take a look at all the current success stories on Facebook, forums, blogs, and so forth.
It’s a FACT that p
There are platforms still available that effectively teach how to make money online.
Internet Marketing – Those Times They Are A Changin’
Internet marketing almost 20 years ago was a riduculously lucrative business.
You could literally make a living off of lousy email marketing, haphazard referral programs
A lot of guys and gals were getting a conversion rate of up to 35-40% from their campaigns without breaking a sweat.
However, over the last 15-20 years the internet has changed so much that now marketers are using conversion rates, click through rates and conversion ratios to determine the viability of a campaign.
There’s too much noise on the internet – way too much, and it’s getting louder and louder year after year.
Along with the fact that online users are wired in too many directions, they have become increasingly aware
Social media has contributed to the demise of the internet.
P
If You Don’t Adapt, You’ll FAIL
How did internet marketing get to this point?
It’s because online marketers, or “internet marketers”, failed to adapt to the needs of the consumer.
The world changed how they devour content, but marketers kept pushing it and broadcasting it and offering it the same way they always have.
They failed to adapt to the needs of the market.
The same apparent problem can be seen in social media.
Businesses keep regurgitating the same stale practice of just broadcasting information and end up alienating people who may be interested in what you have to offer.
If all you’re doing is announcing your offer, you won’t get an opportunity to deliver your message.
Do you know why?
Because the reader won’t even bother to look at it! They won’t even dare waste their time!
This is a very serious scenario; Losing a potential client is discouraging enough, but the fact that I’m not going to have an opportunity for them to see my message is much, much worse.
Oh boy…
Give the People What They Want
How on earth do you get people to actually see your message under these circumstances?
There’s only one way to do it: You have to GIVE PEOPLE VALUE. What does that mean, to “give people value?”
You have to give them something that they want. And what does the reader want? They want you to help them SOLVE A PROBLEM.
They want you to help them FIND A SOLUTION. When you do this, you have a better chance of converting a user into a customer.
The problem with online marketers is that we assume the value is in getting the order or making the sale. It’s because we keep making that assumption we consistently fail.
The VALUE is simply something that appeals to the
VALUE is the written information you’ve provided that help them with an issue or problem they’re trying to find a solution to.
The main way online business owners give value to their audience is by the content that’s published on their websites and blogs.
You Must Get Fresh – Not Stale
FRESH content is the key to having an effective marketing strategy, a strategy that is relevant to your niche audience’s specific needs and concerns.
When you provide fresh content that attempts to address real problems that concern your readers, they come to the conclusion that you really want to help them.
People come to conclude on their own that you want to provide value to their lives.
When people know you want to help them solve their problem, they are willing to pay you money to do it.
You MUST learn the skill of writing good content.
Get into Your Reader’s Minds
The following is an example of how a reader’s internal dialogue works – for the sake of this example, we’ll use my name, Howard.
This is what goes on in the readers mind:
“Boy…I really like the
That last article I read on how to improve workplace relationships in 3 simple steps has really made a difference in my job.”
“You know…if Howard’s free stuff works this well, I think I’ll try some of his stuff that’s not free.
I bet the stuff I have to pay for is really, really good, and can help me better than the free stuff!”
Now, if you think for one minute the above dialogue in some similar form does not take place in the mind of someone who regularly reads good content, then you are sadly mistaken!

I agree wholeheartedly with your article. If you want internet marketing to work for you, you have to put in the work. Just about every year, Google seems to change their algorithm and then we just have to follow suit and make changes to our campaigns so that we can continue to make money still. Internet marketing is definitely not dead. If it were, online business wouldn’t be thriving today. Great article!
Hey Josephine,
Thank you for the kind reply.
So many people have misconceptions about what it takes to set up an online business. But the one thing most people don’t count on is the HARD WORK requires to be successful in this business.
Apparently, from your comments you have the right mindset for this business.
I wish you much success.

Hey Howard:
Thanks for validating my own thoughts on this internet marketing thing.
Providing value to your customers generously and consistently and helping them to solve their problems effectively works to grow your customer- and client-base in the analog world.
I don’t see that it could be any different in the virtual one.
Hey Netta,
Thank you for taking the time to read. Glad I could validate your thoughts on internet marketing.
It’s just as the late Zig Ziglar said: “If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want”
That philosophy still has not changed!

Howard this is an awesome sight, I have not really engaged in making comments on my fellow member’s sites, but I’ll start today. You’re on a roll. For sure Internet Marketing is not dead, we just have to know how to go by to make it efficient. I missed this part because I was so busy taking care of my own site but I will pay attention from now on. Great looking and informative site.Awesome job.
Hey Eugene,
I wish you all the best as you endeavor to build your business here at WA.
Thank you so much for the kind words.

I strongly agree that internet marketing is not dead — and it will only continue to become more useful in the future.
If you just look at how people are buying things now a days — more people buy things online them they ever did. Which means companies need affiliates to help promote their products and business online.
I think it’s never been a better time to build an online business — and actually is a lot more better than trying to do an offline one.
Hey Michael,
I totally agree with you. Thank you for your comments.

Hello Howard. Thanks for the interesting insight into affiliate marketing. I do believe that working for oneself offers a wonderful lifestyle. I never want to work for someone else again. I want to be my own boss. I’m interested in learning more about affiliate marketing because of your article. Thank you for the inspiration.
It seems that affiliate marketing takes some technological know-how. Do you have any resources on how I can learn how to develop websites for affiliate marketing?
Thanks,
Daniel
Hey Daniel,
I’ve been a little under the weather…sorry it took a while to get back to you.
You asked me if I knew of any resources that can help you develop websites for affiliate marketing.
The best resource I know of is Wealthy Affiliate. I use the platform personally and I would not have success online without it. If you’re new to online marketing Wealthy Affiliate is excellent for brand new marketers.
If you want to try it out you can try Wealthy Affiliate free for 7 days, no credit card needed. You actually get a chance to “test drive” the platform to see if it’s a great fit for you.
My strong advise is to try it free for seven days. You literally have nothing to loose but a little of you time and you won’t spend one red cent.
Try it and let me know what you think.
