Make Money Blogging at Home: You Can Do This!
Several years ago, when I was looking for ways to make money online, I started to look into how I could Make Money Blogging At Home.
The more research I did I came to realize some bloggers were making pretty good money.
What I liked about the individuals who owned those blogs is that many of them seemed like regular, everyday folks like me.
I started to ask myself how these average people were making exceptional incomes By blogging?
Could I do the same thing that they were doing? And could I make money blogging too?
The key to becoming a successful blogger is to use your blog as a base of operations, your online presence where you can be found.
From that base, you want to build up multiple streams of income from within your blog or website.
The platform I use to create this very blog has helped tens of thousands of people learn how to make money online for years.
Make Money Blogging at Home – Profit Through Affiliate Marketing
Once you have researched and found your niche, your actual subject of interest, your blog becomes the place you control your content, your “message”.
Your blog is where readers come to know where you can be found for the information they need.
It becomes the place where you help them solve their problems.
Ultimately, that is all people really want – they want you to help them solve their problems.
Bloggers make money directly from their websites by means of affiliate links.
Affiliate marketing is one of the primary ways to make money online from your blog or website.
Here is the point: small trickles of income from multiple streams over time add up to a large river of income.
Make Money Blogging at Home – Your Online Presence Must Be Genuine
The very first thing you want to do is start your own blog.
What exactly is a blog?
Well, here’s the dictionary definition: a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
A blog (which is the shortening of the word “weblog”) is an informational website or online journal that displays information in reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first and older posts appearing last.
It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an “niche” that they are genuinely interested in.
But the ongoing question still remains in the minds of many:
Is There a Difference Between Blogs and Websites?
The answer is yes.
Also, blogs need consistent updates. For example, if you have a company blog that writes about industry news then your blog needs frequent updates.
There is tremendous reader engagement with a blog which is why they are so popular.
Blogs present an opportunity for the reader to comment and voice their different opinions and concerns to the blogger.
Fixed websites, on the other hand, consists of the content presented on unchanging pages.
Static websites lack movement or change and their owners rarely update their pages.
Blog owners consistently update their site with new blog posts on a regular basis.
You Must Write Good Content People Can Relate To
To get Google to take notice of your blog, you must build up a solid library of at least 10-20 blog posts.
These posts should be well-written and packed full of helpful advice and relevant content.
Next, you want to take time to research which affiliate income streams are natural extensions of your posts.
During this time, you want to build relationships on the various social media sites on which your potential readers are most likely to hang out.
Entertaining and informative content that focuses on the interests and needs will dramatically increase engagement levels.
It will build your brand loyalty and trust in your brand.
Good content that is well written will make your website’s organic search engine ranking much stronger.
Most importantly, it will raise your sales levels through the roof!

Make Money Blogging at Home – You Will Make Money If You Help People Solve Their Problems
Again, the key is not to just work to promote your own stuff.
Be someone your readers know they can look to for help with their problems. You are there to help them.
Once your readers see your genuine concern through your blog posts, they will eventually check out what you have to offer.
They will check out your “stuff”.
Never forget that the key to making money online is not promoting the latest “shiny new object”.
Also, using shady online shenanigans will alienate any potential customers you may have.
When you genuinely come across as a person who really wants to add value to someone’s life, you will ALWAYS make money online!
Therefore, ALWAYS be that blogger who really is concerned with helping people with their problems or challenges.

It would have been great if I got to read your article a few years back. This is so easy to read and understand. Back then, I was searching for part-time online jobs and as a stay-at-home mom, work from home is the best option. I read many articles on making money online and it took me quite a while to take them all in. It would have made a difference if I read yours. Now, I am doing fine earning some income online while at home taking care of my family.
Great information, Howard. All the best!

I really liked this post. It’s a subject that I am very interested in and one which I know something about. I was curious to see if there was anything new to learn – and of course – this proved to be the case. Howard knows what he is talking about and he has a very clear and concise way of communicating the fundamentals of blogging. The post is well organised and clearly set out. I particularly appreciated the ’round up’ at the end, of things to do, and the order in which to tackle each item.
Hello MMainstone,
Thanks for the kind words.
I’m happy I could add value to your life, if only a little.
All the best,
Howard
You are right on track with this and I must say that I found it great. A blog is always of greater benefit compared to a website. A blog is mobile and must be constantly greaseed for it to work perfectly but a website is just there without adding anything or benefit. I’d always prefer a blog because of the liberty it gives to always add up new contents everyday or time till it is way beyond just a name to a Money making platform. Thanks for your expatiation on this
Hello Rodarrick,
Thanks for reading.
As pointed out to me by another reader, anyone who has a website can add a blog to it.
What this does is expand the possibilities of getting traffic to the entire website and thus increasing the opportunity for more sales.
Nonetheless, you’ve made some great points.
Howard
A very interesting and informative article, the subject of blogging is one that often confuses people, it did me until I realised that I could have a page on my website just for my daily blog. It might be that you could mention this when you decide to give your article a makeover, personally though cannot see that it over matters.
Well written and a very good use of the Wealthy Affiliate offers.
Hello Stuart,
Thanks for reading this post.
Great point about having a blog on your website as many people may be unaware of this.
