The fact that you’re reading this article shows you want to know How To Take Massive Action and Achieve Success and Abundance.

People who want an extraordinary life understand the necessity of taking massive action to reach their goals.

If you are one who wants an extraordinary life, understand that the majority of people are not willing to go to extra lengths to accomplish their goals.

They fail to have the tenacity to keep moving forward in the face of difficult obstacles.

Why is the importance of taking massive action so critical to your success?

Do you know what it really means to take massive action?

How To Take Massive Action

“The path to success is to take massive, determined actions.”

Tony Robbins

Taking massive action means making a decision to do much more than the average person would do under the same or similar conditions.

Also, when you take massive action you go further physically, emotionally, and mentally than anyone would typically expect.

Implementing massive action means having absolute clarity about what you want out of life.

You acquire the mindset of taking full ownership of your problems, mistakes, and failures.

It means accepting full responsibility for your life as it is now and doing all you possibly can to correct matters.

Take Full Ownership Of Your Situation

To take responsibility, or ownership, of your life, is to take responsibility for all of the decisions that have bought you today to this very point.

You’ve created your life with your words, actions, feelings, and emotions.

How is this done exactly?

You claim responsibility when you accept that the actions you’ve taken are YOUR actions, the thoughts you have, are YOUR thoughts that came from YOUR mind.

Every word that you’ve spoken came out of your mouth and the feelings you have come from within YOUR body as a result of the conclusions YOU make.

However, the vast majority of people will blame an outside source for the mess their life is in. In their mind, it’s someone else’s fault.

It’s the President’s fault! Blame the President.

Blame the government.

They blame their boss.

No…blame the “system”.

Wait a minute! Blame other races and ethnicities.

Blame your husband, your wife, and the children.

It’s your parent’s fault or your lack of parents that are to blame.

Unfortunately, the mental focus of most people is to assign 100% of the blame to anything or anyone other than yourself.

On the other hand, you can only take massive action when you take FULL responsibility for the way your life turned out.

YOU and ONLY YOU are responsible for your circumstances.

Your life is a sum total of the choices you’ve made.

However, taking massive action charges your decision-making processes with powerful emotions making it more likely you’ll achieve your goals.

Taking massive action means constantly expecting more from yourself in every situation of life.

You raise your personal standards and expectations to a level that can only be met with unwavering focus and purposeful activity.

How to Take Massive Action and Get Absolutely Clear

“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”

Dale Carnegie

On the surface, there is nothing difficult about taking massive action.

It’s all basically about working on the most important things in a focused and concentrated way over an extended period of time.

However, if it’s so easy, then why don’t more people adopt this strategy for the attainment of their goals?

Why is it so hard for people to get motivated enough to take massive action?

No matter how much people may desire their goal, they are reluctant to take massive action due to a breakdown that is evident in one or more of the six steps outlined below.

Step 1: Be Absolutely Clear of Important Goals

People fail to take massive action because they lack true clarity about the goal or objective they have in mind.

Therefore, take the time to get crystal clear about what it is that YOU want to achieve.

Subsequently, your first task is to get very clear about what it is you want and what it will effectively take to achieve this goal.

Ask yourself: What is it that I want to achieve in my life?

What steps will I personally need to take to reach this goal?

What’s my WHY? WHY do I want to reach this goal?

What specific actions will I need to take?

Step 2: Understand That Moving Forward Will Feel Uncomfortable

How To Take Massive Action and Achieve Success and Abundance

Having gained clarity about your goal will push you out of your comfort zone.

You will feel uneasy at the start because you are not accustomed to taking the massive action required to accomplish your goal.

Please understand this important fact: People struggle to do what is necessary to attain their goals for the simple fact that they resist fear, uncertainty, and discomfort.

Therefore, the key to moving forward without any reservations is to make peace in your own mind and heart with fear, uncertainty, and discomfort.

However, It’s only when people fully accept that things are the way they are and that facing these obstacles is inevitable, that is the moment they can begin moving forward without any reservations.

Only by making peace with yourself in this way will you successfully break through the mental barriers that are holding you back from taking massive action.

Step 3: You MUST Be Totally Committed to Attaining Your Goals

Accomplishing all the goals you set requires total commitment and unwavering focus on your part. You must, without reservations, be fully committed to all the actions necessary to achieve your goals.

Therefore, if a lack of commitment exists even a little, you are likely to easily get disheartened and sidetracked the moment you face an unexpected problem or setback.

Make no mistake about this: you WILL face setbacks and obstacles that will try to prevent you from moving forward.

Step 4: Are You Willing to Pay The Price for Success?

People end up quitting somewhere down the line simply because the price of success is far higher than they ever imagined.

Every goal you pursue will take a toll on you and on your life in some way. In other words, there is always some kind of cost associated with taking the necessary actions to achieve that goal.

This cost often comes in the form of the sacrifices you must make to bring that goal into reality.

In addition, your life will change dramatically while you’re pursuing your goal. Your priorities are likely to shift, and as a result, your commitments and responsibilities will need to change.

The question is: can you handle a change of priorities?

Can you take the criticism coming your way from family and friends who do not understand your level of commitment?

Can you handle the lack of cooperation from people you feel should support you?

Will being totally misunderstood by others cause you to abandon the pursuit of your goals?

Step 5: You Have To Develop a Sense of Urgency

Taking massive action requires urgency.

When you have a sense of urgency, everything suddenly becomes time-sensitive.

You now work on activities with incredible purpose and energy.

Also, setting yourself challenging deadlines and targets that you work toward every single day, will make you more accountable for the actions you take.

You will no longer work on a task in a carefree way.

You need to be wholeheartedly passionate about the process of achieving your goal.

It has to be something that keeps you up late at night and pulls you out of bed in the morning.

“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

Step 6: Prepare for the Inevitable: You WILL Have Setbacks

How To Take Massive Action and Achieve Success and Abundance

No matter what goals you have decided to pursue, there are always days when your plans will not progress smoothly.

Life will throw at you setbacks and possible unexpected problems that will hinder your progress.

However, if you’re not careful, all the momentum you have built up in the pursuit of your goal will suddenly vanish in an instant.

Taking massive action means consistently and persistently moving forward no matter what resistance or setbacks come your way.

Use Setbacks and Obstacles To Your Advantage

Understand that you will have setbacks and obstacles and prepare yourself in advance with contingency or backup plans that can help you stay on track.

Therefore, taking massive action means consistently and persistently moving forward no matter what setbacks or resistance you face.

This isn’t easy. It’s certainly not easy if you don’t prepare yourself in advance and make contingency plans that can help you stay on track.

It is absolutely critical that you keep in mind Murphy’s Law which states that:

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong at the worst possible time when you least expected it.

You don’t need to waste time and mental energy planning for many different situations that could happen.

However, what you need to do instead is to prepare yourself mentally for how you will deal with making mistakes and bad decisions because there will be times you will screw up!

In the end, it’s not what happens to you or what you go through; you will get knocked down – Life will make sure of that.

The critical factor is how you respond to what happens; do you dust yourself off and keep moving forward.

How you react when life knocks you down determines whether you maintain momentum moving forward toward your goal.

Step 7: You MUST Be Flexible Or You Will Break

Above all, stay flexible. If an action plan or activity isn’t working, make the necessary adjustments so it will work, or if necessary eliminate what’s not working altogether.

As a massive action taker you MUST learn how to be incredibly flexible with how you deal with tasks and activities.

This is important when your plans don’t seem to be working or when unexpected situations arise.

Subsequently, a flexible approach means being mentally and emotionally willing to change course and direction midstream.

It means understanding what is working and what is NOT working and making the necessary adjustments as you go along.

  1. This is a sobering reminder of the cost of success and the price to pay for going after big goals. I am often surprised how much effort small things can take when it comes to my most important goals, and how easy it is to lose focus. I feel having a set morning routine can really help, and to also schedule time in to assess whether or not things are working or not. The trick is to know how much effort to put in before you assess, because you can sometimes be around the corner from success, and yet it might FEEL like you are miles away.

  2. Howard,

This is a great article for anyone pursuing anything.

Step 1: Be Absolutely Clear of Important Goals

Step 1 is the hardest because you is tough to get clarity on the important goals especially when starting on the journey. That is why, as you state later in the article, being flexible is so important. Everyone fails on their way to achieving success and if you are not failing, you are not learning. Repeating mistakes is not acceptable.

Probably the most important is believing in yourself and your passion. There are always people in your life that will challenge what you are doing, no matter what. The key is to not waste time and effort defending your passion. Just keep on your path.

Thanks Howard, man will benefit from this advice.
