Navan Global Review – Can You Make Money Selling CBD?
Welcome to my Navan Global Review. If you are here because you were thinking about joining Navan Global and want to know if this platform is legitimate, you have come to the right place. Many are also wondering if you can make money with Navan Global. This Navan Global review will tell you all you need to know about this CBD company. Once you are done reading, you can decide if joining Navan Global is right for you.
Navan Global Review – Quick Summary
- Company Name: Navan Global
- Cost to Join: 299.95 USD to 999.95 USD
- Model of Business: Multi-Level Marketing
- Recommendation: Not recommended
Navan Global is an MLM company in the CBD niche. This platform has some interesting things to like compared with other multi-level marketing companies, but I still don’t recommend joining it. The money you will pay to enter this platform is on the high side, and its compensation plan has issues that will make it difficult to make money.
Ultimately, Navan Global is a typical MLM, and many people will lose money instead of making profits. I strongly advise you to stay away from this platform. There are better ways to make money online that don’t involve recruiting, contacting friends and family, or selling overpriced CBD products.
The CEO of Navan Global Has A Interesting Past
According to WHOIS.com, Navan Global was registered on June 1st, 2018, which means it’s still relatively new in the MLM space. Interestingly, the About Us page provides no information about the company’s founder or CEO.
However, after diligent research, I was able to find out that an individual by the name of Trey Knight is the founder and CEO. Trey Knight has a fascinating past in multi-level marketing. In 2011, Trey Knight joined a company called Limu.
Trey Knight was a significant participant in Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing, which the Federal Trade Commission pursued because of consumer complaints that the business operated as a pyramid scheme. The FTC closed Fortune Hi-Tech in 2013, and eventually, Trey Knight became a defendant in a civil lawsuit against the company.
The FTC shut down Fortune Hi-Tec Marketing in 2013 after the feds determined the company operated as a pyramid scheme. Next, Knight served as President of Sozo Global until it collapsed in 2016. The company was sold off to Youngevity later that year.
Trey Knight Has Legal Issues – Tennessee Couple Indicted for Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud and Wire Fraud
There is a gap in Trey Knight’s MLM career from early 2016 to late 2019, which fast-forwards us to Navan Global’s launch. Further research reveals an October 2019 press release citing Trey Knight as Navan Global’s founder and CEO.
Knight is only mentioned as the founder and CEO of Navan Global in an April 2020 company blog post. It is unclear why executive information isn’t readily available on Navan Global’s website. You may be asking, Why is this important?
It’s important because if you invest your money and valuable time, you want to make sure that the company’s CEO is an individual who can be trusted. I will leave it up to you to decide if you feel that Trey Knight is a CEO who can be trusted with your hard-earned money in light of his past MLM history.
On May 06, 2021, a federal grand jury recently returned an eight-count indictment charging Haskell Knight, a/k/a “Trey Knight,” age 56, and Emily Knight, a/k/a “Emily Ricciardelli,” a/k/a “Emily Fryer,” age 37, both of Franklin, Tennessee, with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. Each appeared for their arraignments and pled not guilty to the pending charges. You can view the actual legal document by clicking here.
Reviewing Knight’s criminal case docket reveals he was arrested in Louisiana on May 18th. Knight was appointed a federal public defender and was released under the condition he:
- surrender his passport;
- is prohibited from possessing a firearm or other type of weapon;
- is restricted to travel between the Middle District of Tennessee and the Middle District of Louisiana;
- must avoid all contact with his victims and witnesses;
- shall not obtain any new line of credit, including business loans, credit cards, etc., without the court’s permission.
- “shall not institute any new business venture or solicit any new business investments without the approval of pretrial services; and
- must avoid all contact with his victims and witnesses.
When you consider all of the facts, is this the type of individual you want to invest your time and money with? Unfortunately for Knight, you can’t undo wire fraud, even if you manage to eventually repay those you stole from.
How Do You Earn With Navan Global
There are two ways to earn on this platform. The first is selling products offered by Navan Global to customers, and the second is recruiting people into your downline.
You will receive commissions for every personal sale and any sale your people in your downline make. In keeping with my preference of not trying to dissect complicated MLM compensation plans, the link below will take you to a PDF outlining the entire Navian Compensation Plan.
Navian Rewards Plan
Another red flag is the cost of the CBD they offer. Although the CBD products offered by this platform are generic, the price is about 30% higher than competitors. As a result, retail sales will be complicated. For example, Navan Global’s CBD Tincture retails for $95 in a 750 mg bottle.
When you Google CDB oils, you see the first result from the paragraph search above Georgetown Hemp, which sells the same product with the same spiel for $69.99. You can’t afford to be competitive with a product as widely available as CBD oil. Well, at least you can’t in the retail market.
Registration Cost
Navan Global has three different signup packages; they include:
- Starter Packs, which cost 299.95 USD
- Business Builder Pack that goes for 499.95 USD
- Ultimate Builder, which costs 999.95 USD.
The more money you pay, the more products you get. That’s not all; running an MLM business also comes with other additional costs.
Navan Global Products
Navan Global specializes only in CBD products. They have different CBD products, such as creams, lotions, tinctures, gummies, and bath bombs. They also have several CBD combos for different problems (energy, sleeping, anti-aging, etc.). The price of the products they offer is a problem.
The CBD market is huge. You would go nowhere and not see CBD products. How do they expect you to sell something at a higher price when you can get similar products at a lesser price, especially on sites like Amazon? I do not think the retail opportunity will be good.
Pros and Cons of Navan Global
Pros
- No auto-shipment. This is when distributors are forced to purchase products every month.
- No distributor is forced to buy products on this platform.
Cons
- Expensive products. The products they are offering are too costly.
- How many people are willing to pay this high for CBD products when they can get them for cheaper elsewhere?
- Capped commissions. The amount of money you will make will depend on your rank on the platform.
- The CBD market is saturated. You will find CBD products everywhere.
- There are many CBD stores online, and most people prefer shopping for CBD online.
- Thus, selling your products will be pretty challenging.
- Trey Knight has had legal problems and associations with other failed MLM companies.
Navan Global is similar to other MLMs I’ve reviewed on this blog, such as:
Is Navan Global Legit?
I do not think Navan Global is a scam. The company is legit, and they offer natural products. Their compensation plan is also standard, with no significant red flags. The issue with this platform is that it will be tough to succeed. Another significant issue is the legal issues of Trey Knight and his wife. Also, the market is saturated already with CBD products, and selling one at a higher price would be difficult. Also, recruitment would be more complex than making retail sales.
The only way to increase your chance of making money from this platform is if you have a robust network marketing infrastructure. If you don’t, you are going to lose. Making money through Navan Global will be difficult. Click the banner below if you want a better way of making money. The platform I recommend can teach you how to make a life-changing income in a reasonable amount of time.
Is Navan Global a Pyramid Scheme?
Pyramid schemes are illegal, but not all MLM companies are pyramid schemes. However, I do not think Navan Global operates as a pyramid scheme. How to know if an MLM company is a pyramid scheme:
1) There is no product or service to offer, and recruitment is the only way to earn.
2) There are no products or services, but most sales come from distributors, not retail customers.
Navan Global does not fall into the first category since it has retail sales products. Most MLM companies make it compulsory for distributors to purchase products monthly, but Navan Global does not, so it does not fall into the second category.
However, some distributors purchase products to be promoted to a higher rank. Another thing to do before you join an MLM is to ask the person recruiting you how much sales are from retail and how much are product purchases. It could be a pyramid scheme if retail sales are less than 50%.
Success With Navan Global Will Be Difficult
99% of people who join MLMs lose their funds instead of making profits. Nobody will tell you this when they want you to register under them. There are lots of reasons for this, but the two major ones are:
1) Overpriced offer
2) Difficult recruitment
Navan Global sells its CBD oil for 99 dollars, which is sold at 60 dollars or less in other places. This will be an issue here. There are so many CBD products in the market, and selling one about 30% more expensive than others would be difficult.
Getting others to join will not be an easy task as well. To succeed in any MLM company, you must recruit hundreds of people to sigh up under you. Are you good at recruiting people to join a multi-level marketing platform? How many people can you even recruit? Have you ever been involved in a multi-level marketing operation?
Rocky Times Are Ahead For Network Marketing
Making money through MLMs is very difficult. Most MLM organizations are accustomed to holding in-person recruiting or “opportunity” meetings to bring new people on board. Also, you have to consider the economic situation of the people you’re trying to recruit. From my perspective, there are rocky times ahead for the MLM industry!
I enjoy affiliate marketing; you won’t have to deal with these frustrating situations because you’re building a digital business. With affiliate marketing, your entire business is run from the comfort of your home. You manage your business from your laptop or desktop computer. No “opportunity” meetings, Zoom meetings, recruiting calls, monthly auto-ship commitments, none of that you have to deal with in affiliate marketing. Consider 12 facts about multi-level marketing you need to know before you join ANY MLM company:
12 Startling Facts About Multi-Level Marketing You Need To Know
- According to FTC, 99% of all MLM participants lose money
- The chances of profiting by starting your own small business are 38% more than by joining an MLM
- The profitability rate of running an online business is 10% – 20% higher than the profitability rate of joining an MLM
- According to the AARP Foundation, 47% of MLM participants lose money, and 27% make no money whatsoever
- Among the 26% who earn a profit, 53% of them earn less than $5000 a year
- 39% of MLM participants quit because pitching products and services to friends and family jeopardized their relationships
- At least 50% of MLM reps quit within one year after joining an MLM, and 95% quit within ten years
- 75% of those who have joined and left an MLM state that they would never join another MLM in their life
- A 2018 poll of 1049 MLM reps across various companies found that most of them make less than 70 cents an hour,
- 20% of them never made a sale
- 60% of them had earned less than $500 in sales over the past five years
- 32% of them acquired credit card debt to finance their MLM involvement
Multi-Level Marketing Is A Difficult Business Model
Multi-level marketing was a problematic business model before COVID-19 and is even more difficult now. Companies employing the MLM business model sell false hope to inexperienced individuals. These naive individuals have been told that anyone with enough desire can become a successful entrepreneur and get rich quickly.
Unfortunately, this is not true. Many people are persuaded to believe that if they follow the company line, they too can become financially successful. Don’t fall for the multi-level marketing propaganda. To make money online, you must create your own online business. It’s as simple as that.
Most people don’t because they’re unsure of the right way to do it. Wealthy Affiliate was created to help ordinary people like you and me build an online business without experience. It’s the best platform I’ve ever seen to help a complete newbie understand how to create a digital business and make money online.
Warning: The RED Flags of Multi-Level Marketing Schemes and Scams Online
These are some of the things that you need to watch out for with multi-level marketing companies, as they are red flags that should not be ignored.
1. The Company Does NOT Offer a FREE Trial
This is a big one to look out for. Many MLMs selling retail products are overpriced and may have yet to be rigorously tested before entering the marketplace. Most information products are worthless, and if you could jump directly into those products and “try them out” before investing in them, you would never invest in low-quality substances. That is why they hide behind a payment. If their information is so good, should they not prove it by giving you a taste?
Does Navan Global MLM Opportunity Offer a Free Trial? NO
2. Companies That Don’t Clearly Outline Pricing
If you go to a sales page for a product and they don’t disclose the price clearly, you will likely get “duped.” Any legitimate company will offer clarity on pricing and have a pricing page on their website. MANY companies in this industry HIDE their pricing; it is unethical, and it will almost certainly scam you. Also, if the company is charging $ 1,000 for their products, it should be of concern.
Does Navan Global MLM Opportunity Outline Clear Pricing? NO
3. MLM Companies That Use Video Sales Pages / Squeeze Pages
If you visit a “sales page” and the only thing you see on it is exaggerated promises of quick money, this will almost certainly be an expensive, overpriced scam. This marketing tactic is used to HIDE pricing and hide the product itself. They typically ask for your email or a small payment, and then you will be put through an extensive and expensive sales funnel.
Does Navan Global Use a Video page for their opportunity? NO
4. Companies That Don’t Have a High TrustPilot Rating
Navan has a Trustpilot rating of 2.8 which is considered average on Trustpilot. If you read the reviews of Navan on Trustpiloy, they aren’t very good. TrustPilot is where you should get genuine consumer reviews about products/services you plan on buying. If a company doesn’t exist on this website or has a rating lower than 4.5 out of 5 stars, you may want to seriously reconsider joining. There are going to be better programs and services available without the financial risk.
Does Navan Global Have a High TrustPilot Rating? NO
5. Multi-Level Marketing Companies That Sell “Riches” Without Telling You the Process
If you are being pushed by the idea that you are going to be “rich” or that you’ll be able to “make money in a short period ” without telling you what you will be doing to earn this money (in a specific way), then they are selling the “sizzle”…and chances are there is no “steak” after you make your purchase. Avoid programs these types of programs like the plague.
Is the Younique Income opportunity confusing? YES, multi-level marketing compensation plans are confusing
6. Companies Without an Easy Way to Contact Them
If you don’t have a direct way to contact the company to answer questions about their program, they are hiding behind something. That is the first clue, and I recommend you test it. If the company has an email address, email it. If you don’t get a response within 48 hours at most, then that is probably the sort of help you can expect in the future.
Can you easily contact the Navan Global administrators or customer service representatives? NO
7. Companies That Don’t Offer Direct Access/Communication with the Owners
Who owns the product? Can you get help and communicate with them directly? If NOT, then this program is more than likely in the business of taking your money. CEOs in the opportunity world who are unwilling to communicate with their customers directly have a “too good for you” mentality, which should be avoided.
Can you contact the owner of Navan Global directly? NO
8. Companies That Are Just “Information”
If they are providing you with “ideas” about how you could create a business without offering you all the tools, services, and levels of ongoing support that you need to succeed online, you will have a tough time succeeding. Many companies charge you for their information and then tell you that you need to purchase all sorts of stuff actually to use the techniques taught.
Is the Navan Global MLM opportunity just information? NO
As you can conclude from the above questions, multi-level marketing companies are not all what they claim to be. Too often, people put their hope and trust in someone else making money for them instead of learning how to create prosperity with their own online presence. People look for others to rescue them financially when, in reality, YOU have to come to your own financial rescue!
There is a platform available that will teach you step by step how to build your own online business, an ethical platform whose primary focus is to help everyday people learn how to make money online, a platform where you can immediately have access to individuals who are highly successful with their online businesses.
