What Is Writing To Wealth: Big Money Or Big Disappointment?
Some of you want to know What Is Writing To Wealth and if you can make money with it?
That’s a fairly straightforward question.
Basically, you want to know if Writing To Wealth is legit or just another scam?
I am here to answer that question for you.
As you may be aware, there are loads of writing “gigs” online and many of them are legitimate.
Let’s have a look at what Writing to Wealth has to offer.
Update 2020: Writing To Wealth Is No Longer Functioning
The URL for Writing To Wealth is no longer working.
Usually, that means the owners took it down for any number of reasons.
The main reason why most websites like these cease to function is that they failed to live up to their unrealistic promises.
This is why I repeatedly encourage would-be entrepreneurs to build their own online businesses with the help of the same platform I use, Wealthy Affiliate.
What Was Writing To Wealth?
- What is the name of this program: Writing To Wealth
- The website URL is: writingtowealth.com which is no longer working
- The Price: $34 + Upsells
- Do I recommend this? No
Writing To Wealth was a site that supposedly provided lists of writing jobs available to members only.
They claim you can earn between $300 – $325 for a writing job.
Supposedly, you can earn cash by writing short articles or writing blog posts.
People hire you to write the content they need.
The request can come from companies that need content or individual website or blog owners in need of writers.
The owners of Writing To Wealth claim you can choose from thousands of writing jobs from their database.
Another claim is that their database is updated daily and on weekends.
Therefore, Writing To Wealth’s claim of $100 days seems very appealing.
However, the presentation made by Writing To Wealth is very misleading.
Can Just Anyone Write Articles For The Internet
Unfortunately, no.
Writing for clients online IS NOT as easy as Writing To Wealth makes it out to be.
The online reality is it’s just not that way!
Anyone can’t roll up their sleeves, bang out a few paragraphs, and think you’re writing the correct way for online audiences.
Many well-meaning individuals think they can earn a living as a writer, and with the right training, it is possible.
The key is “with the right training.”
However, for most of us writing is a skill that has to be learned.
I have some very helpful blog posts that can give you insight as to how to write for online audiences.

What Is Writing To Wealth – A Platform With No Training
I find it interesting that Writing To Wealth provides no training when it comes to copywriting.
For those who have zero to very little copywriting skills, this platform is a waste of your time.
If you aren’t trained properly regarding how to be a good copywriter, then you are not going to see any $100 days from Writing To Wealth.
Heck, you won’t even see a $1 day!
Although they mislead people and say “anyone can do this” that’s not entirely true.
The hard fact is online clients require their content to be written in a certain way.
If you don’t understand the proper way of writing for online clients, then your content is basically useless.
However, if you have average writing skills, there are places you can go to make money writing.
Instead of paying Writing To Wealth $34 plus more money in upsells, you can go to the following websites and sign up for free:
- Fiverr.com
- iNeedArticles.com
- Textbroker.com
- Upwork.com
Therefore, without any real writing experience, you can find writing jobs online.
Most of these websites, like the ones mentioned above, are quite legit.
Regarding Writing To Wealth, since the platform does not provide training, I doubt if you will make money with these guys.
If you’ve never tried copywriting, you simply are going to need some training.
Therefore, it’s somewhat misleading to have people think they can make $100 or more a day without any copywriting training.
However, there are two outstanding websites you can go to get trained as a copywriter:
- AWAI.com
- Udemy.com
Actually, there is some form of training you need to have to be able to effectively write for the internet.
How Writing To Wealth Really Worked
Simply put, these guys are clearly here to make money.
This isn’t a bad idea, but it becomes terrible when you make money off people and don’t give them value.
No training at all in SEO, no training in keyword research, and no training in selecting a niche.
Nothing.
The only thing you get for your $34 is a list of where to apply for writing gigs.
(Gig is an online term for Jobs.)
Writing To Wealth Gave Unrealistic Income Claims
As a starter, you won’t earn the type of money Writing To Wealth says you can earn.
It’s unfortunate that they’re not telling you the entire story.
You won’t get a $320 writing gig as a newbie.
It will take a while before you are proficient enough at writing before you can make money like that.
If you want to start out as a writer, you need to first open accounts with legitimate gig writing platforms.
As you gain more experience and build up a writing portfolio, your earnings can increase.
You can charge more for your services based on the experience you acquire.
Writing To Wealth Underestimated Writing Times
Writing To Wealth, all they care, make it look as if writing a blog takes just a few minutes.
That’s not the case. You will to deep dive into research and so much more to be able to produce quality articles.
Imagine you are asked by a client to write an article that is 750 – 3500 words long. Now, do you feel you will be able to finish this within 1 hour, as a newbie in the writing niche?
Over time, as you write more, your writing time will definitely shorten.
Was Writing To Wealth An Online Scam?
Honestly, I won’t call Writing To Wealth a scam.
I cannot recommend Writing To Wealth as a legitimate make-money online opportunity because all you get is a list of companies looking for writers.
However, the list, at least to some people, would have been a valuable resource.
Was the sales page somewhat misleading – YES
Did it make promises to newbies it shouldn’t make? – YES
Did it provide SOME value – YES, in the form of a list of websites that are looking for writers to provide content.
Were there FAKE testimonials lying about how much money you can make – NO
Again, I cannot recommend Writing To Wealth if it were still functioning, but at the same time, I cannot say it was a flat-out SCAM.
What I Recommend Is To Write For Yourself
Can make money writing for other people?
Sure you can!
However, here is the catch:
You make MORE money writing for yourself.
What do I mean when I say “write for yourself?”
Create your own blog or website based on YOUR interests, or niche, and add your content to it.
Thousands of online entrepreneurs, like myself, are creating five and six-figure incomes with the use of a platform called Wealthy Affiliate.
