Monat MLM Review – Can You Make Money With Hair Care?
If you are contemplating joining Monat’s business opportunity, I hope you will benefit from this Monat MLM Review. Can you make money selling and recruiting for Monat? Is Monat an opportunity you should take advantage of? Is this a legit company to be associated with?
From the start, I am not affiliated with Monat as a sales representative. I will include any apparent advantages and disadvantages in this review. However, unlike other reviews, my focus is not on the details of Monat’s compensation plan.
I’ve posted a video further below that explains the Monet compensation plan. Multi-level marketing compensation plans are ridiculously complicated and hurt my head, like you wouldn’t believe. I would rather the video explain it to you. My concern in this review is the following:
- Will joining Monat result in the best use of your time as you look for ways to make money online
- Is multi-level marketing a good business model to follow in this age of COVID-19?
I’ll be reviewing Monat’s MLM business opportunity below.
Monat MLM Review – What Is Monat?
Monat, a company that sells hair care products, is based in Doral, FL. This company is not a scam and has an established reputation. Monat has expanded its operations and sales force, which now covers the US, the European Union, and Canada. Multi-level marketing means a company sells its products using an interconnected system of individual representatives rather than traditional stores or outlets and their likes.
This greatly increases the opportunities for regular people to earn income in a few ways. One is selling the company’s products. The second is providing a “business opportunity” to others looking to make additional income. In 2001, Luis Urdaneta founded L’eudine, a Latin American multi-level m
Ray Urdaneta and his father, Luis, co-founded Alcoa Corporation in 2008. Under Alcoa Corporation, Monat was formally established as a brand in 2014. “Modern Nature” is the term used to coin Monat. It symbolizes Monat’s focus on combining natural ingredients with science to create quality hairdressing merchandise.
They sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth of hairdressing products every year, using a system of more than 150,000 consultants in the UK, Canada, and the US.
Monat MLM Review – Are Monat’s Products Worth Buying?
The company sells hairdressing products in Canada, the UK, and the US. Their products attempt to assist people with almost all types of hairdressing needs. Monat’s products address hair damage, hair loss, scalp dryness, dandruff, coloring issues, and other hair and scalp concerns.
The company offers numerous individual hairdressing products, which are classified into several ‘groups’ and ‘structures.’ All of these cater to distinct client requirements and desires. For instance, Monat’s ‘Restructuring Hair Care Collection’ reverses hair damage.
Monat also has the ‘Volume System,’ which helps build dense, unbroken, non-split hair. Monat does not sell products for women only; they have products targeted at men as well. For men, they have Monat Black. This collection includes hair conditioner, shampoo, styling clay, and shaving cream.
They also have Monat Pet, which contains deodorizing spray and dog shampoo. The question people ask about Monat is: Do their products work? Is it worth the money?
It Depends On Who You Ask
It all depends on whom you ask this question. Naturally, anyone publicizing Monat and Monat themselves will only say that the products are incredible and people see tangible results. According to Monat’s website, their merchandise is supported by science. These products work due to the ‘rich preparation,’ making them ‘work in compatibility with one another.’
For instance, their flagship product, ‘Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive,’ combines more than 13 essential oils with natural plants. Monat claims to use organic, natural ingredients and essential oils in its products. Other proprietary components such as Procataline, Capixl, and Crodasorb are also used.
Their claim is that no toxic ingredient is used in the preparation of their products, although there are unquestionably some controversies surrounding them. For instance, in 2018, a news program on ABC 13 mentioned FDA inspectors being sent to the company’s Florida facility when customers complained about scalp sores and hair loss.
This is not to say their products are questionable or harmful. However, it appears that many people are getting an unfavorable reaction after using them. Monat has stood behind its products from the start. They claim they have become the scapegoat for falsehoods and even sued many people for slander.
Monat Global – Can you Earn Money?
The US hairdressing market is growing and is currently worth $50 billion. Monat has been taking advantage of the hair care industry’s exponential growth. There are opportunities for people to earn their fair share of income.
As Monat’s Market Partner, one earns income by selling hair care products and enrolling others into the fold to recruit others. The company refers to this as ‘direct selling’ or ‘social marketing.’ It is precisely what it is. Don’t be mistaken; this is MLM (Multi-Level Marketing).
With Monat, you earn income not only by selling their products but also by enrolling others in the “business opportunity.” The reimbursement plan offers numerous ways to earn money. Here, I will guide you through all the details. I’ll start with product selling.
You get a 40% commission on products sold personally. The amount you receive from every sale depends on whether you are merchandising for a VIP or retail customer. Monat gives you 30% as commissions when you sell retail products.
This means you get paid when someone visits your website and makes a purchase. You even earn bonus fees based on the number of products you can sell. But, yes, you can earn income as Monat’s merchandiser. There is the potential to earn substantial amounts of money in this business over time. Of course, you must recruit sufficient people and conduct the necessary sales.
Interesting Events With Monat And The BBB
When you have a business selling physical products, those products must be exceptional. Otherwise, the company’s reputation – and its revenue – will suffer. My purpose here is to present the facts – you must conclude. You can Click Here to see the BBB report on Monat.
Fact #1: BBB Issued Alert Regarding Monat Comments.

Monat sales representatives were flooding the BBB with positive reviews, which is against BBB policy.
In light of the situation, the BBB had to issue this statement:
Fact #2: Monat Representatives Are Responsive To Customer Complaints.
Look at the screenshot above from the BBB website. How could Monet have 1,020 closed complaints and still have an “A” rating? This is possible when the number of positive comments far outweighs the negative ones. Also, if you check the number of resolved complaints, the last time I checked, ALL complaints were resolved.
Resolving customer complaints takes a tremendous amount of hard work. Monat representatives seem to want to handle each and every complaint head-on. They don’t back down from dealing with dissatisfied customers, which certainly recommends them as a company. On the other hand, receiving numerous complaints, 166 in a 12-month period, could be a cause for concern.
Fact #3: Monat Has Been The Subject Of Unfavorable Media Coverage

Similarly, let me say this: As a small business owner myself, I can confidently say that the more successful you become, the more negativity and chaos come your way. There is a virus that is 100 times more insidious and destructive than COVID-19, and it’s called hatred.
Its cousin, Jealousy, is always closely following behind. I’m NOT minimizing legitimate customer complaints – please understand that. However, the more success you attract the more unwanted drama follows you. That’s why I’m not surprised at successful companies that have to deal with a ton of complaints, many of them unwarranted.
Let Me Give You An Example
For years, whenever I had to purchase a new cell phone, everyone I knew told me NEVER to buy an Apple product. Everyone I knew HATED Apple. “Steve Jobs is a jerk,” they would say. “Apple exploits foreign workers.” There was no end to the negativity.
One year later, I was having a conversation with a very reasonable fellow who calmly and rationally explained to me the difference between iOS and Android. I’d never seen this guy a day in my life. However, after listening to him, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and purchase my first iPhone.
I’ve never gone back to Android. I absolutely love Apple products—100% LOVE them. That would have never happened if I’d continued to listen to the nonstop negativity about iPhones and Apple. However, to this day, I still hear a ton of negativity about Apple products.
My point is this: Apple is MASSIVELY successful. Apple gets massive criticism, much of which is unwarranted and baseless. Therefore, the more success you attract, the more NEGATIVE ROT follows.
Monat is a very successful company, and as a result, there will be an increase in people trying to tear it down. Again, I’m NOT minimizing legitimate complaints; I’m saying that massive success brings massive challenges. I learned from dealing with the public that it’s our nature to tear others down, especially if we have a personal agenda.
Is Mult-Level Marketing A Business Model You Should Follow
My issue with companies like Monat isn’t necessarily the actual product; it’s the way the business is structured. Many excellent products are riding on the back of a flawed network marketing business model.
My opinion is that multi-level marketing is not a good business model. For the business’s originators and initial administrators, it’s wonderful. But for everyday folks like myself, it’s not a good business model.
The Statistics For Multi-Level Marketing Aren’t Good

The stark reality is this: most people will not make any life-altering income as multi-level marketing distributors. Why does this happen at all? People register, buy merchandise, sell to family and friends, and hardly earn their investment back.
Typically, this regularly happens in the MLM universe. Here is another point: With MLM organizations, YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL of your business. This is a direct contradiction because, at MLM sales meetings, you are constantly told that “you have your own business.”

Warning: The RED Flags To Look Out For With Multi-Level Marketing Companies
It would be best to watch out for these things with multi-level marketing companies, as they are red flags you should not ignore. Taking note of these eight signs can save you considerable time and money.
1. The Company Does NOT Offer a FREE Trial
This is a big one to look out for. Many MLMs selling retail products are overpriced and may have yet to be rigorously tested before entering the marketplace. Most information products are worthless, and if you could jump directly into those products and “try them out” before investing in them, you would never invest in low-quality substances. That is why they hide behind a payment. If their information is so good, should they not prove it by giving you a taste?

2. Companies That Don’t Clearly Outline Pricing
If you go to a sales page for a product and they don’t disclose the price clearly, you will likely get “duped.” Any legitimate company will offer clarity on pricing and have a pricing page on their website. MANY companies in this industry HIDE their pricing; it is unethical, and it will almost certainly scam you. Also, if the company is charging $ 1,000 for their products, it should be of concern.

3. MLM Companies That Use Video Sales Pages / Squeeze Pages
If you visit a “sales page” and the only thing you see on it is exaggerated promises of quick money, this will almost certainly be an expensive, overpriced scam. This marketing tactic is used to HIDE pricing and hide the product itself. They typically ask for your email or a small payment, and then you will be put through an extensive and expensive sales funnel.

4. Companies That Don’t Have a High TrustPilot Rating
Monat has a 3.8 rating on Trustpilot, which is considered an average rating. Trustpilot is where you should get genuine consumer reviews about products/services you plan on buying. If a company doesn’t exist on this website or has a rating lower than 4.5 out of 5 stars, you may want to reconsider joining seriously. There are going to be better programs and services available without the financial risk.

5. Multi-Level Marketing Companies That Sell “Riches” Without Telling You the Process
If you are being pushed by the idea that you are going to be “rich” or that you’ll be able to “make money in a short period ” without telling you what you will be doing to earn this money (in a specific way), then they are selling the “sizzle”…and chances are there is no “steak” after you make your purchase. Avoid programs these types of programs like the plague.

6. Companies Without an Easy Way to Contact Them
They are hiding behind something if you don’t have a direct way to contact the company to answer questions about their program. That is the first clue, and I recommend you test it. If the company has an email address, email it. If you don’t get a response within 48 hours at most, then that is probably the sort of help you can expect in the future.
Can you quickly contact Monat’s administrators? No
7. Companies That Don’t Offer Direct Access/Communication with the Owners
Who owns the product? Can you get help and communicate with them directly? If NOT, then this program is more than likely in the business of taking your money. CEOs in the opportunity world who are unwilling to communicate with their customers directly have a “too good for you” mentality, which should be avoided.
Can you contact Monat’s owner directly? NO
8. Companies That Are “Information” Only
If they provide you with “ideas” about how you could create a business without offering you all the tools, services, and levels of ongoing support you need to succeed online, you will have a tough time succeeding. Many companies charge you for their information and then tell you you must purchase all sorts of stuff to use the techniques taught.
Is the Monat MLM opportunity just information? NO
When you look at the above eight points discussed, multi-level marketing platforms like the Monat are business opportunities you may not want to get involved with! My rating of this so-called “make money online opportunity” is 0 out of 8!
As you can conclude from the above information, multi-level marketing companies are not all what they claim to be. Too often, people put their hope and trust in someone else making money for them instead of learning how to leverage the power of the internet with their own online presence. People look for others to rescue them financially when, in reality, YOU have to come to your financial rescue!
